Another popular Norfolk festival has been struck from the calendar as the Worstead Festival organisers have decided to cancel this year’s event.
The two day festival, which draws people from far and wide, was due to be held on July 25 and 26, and with the future looking uncertain, they have called it off.
Jane Bond, chair of trustees, said: “As the virus continues, with the county in ‘lockdown’, we have no way of knowing when the situation will change.”
Last year’s festival raised more than £10,000 for good causes in the local community, and Jane said that the trustees were grateful to everyone who had signed up for this year and would be in touch with them all.
“We have an idea to hold a party for the village when all this is over,” she said. “And next year’s Worstead Festival will be one of the best we’ve ever organised.”
