Hellesdon Community Centre opened its doors today (February 17) for symptom-free Covid-19 testing.
The test, also known as lateral flow testing or community testing, is part of Norfolk County Council’s response to Covid-19.
Around one in three people with the virus do not have symptoms and can, therefore, spread it without knowing. Symptom-free testing means more people with the virus can be identified and go into isolation.
Lateral flow tests are safe, inexpensive and the results are trusted.
The centre is open for testing for three days from January 17-19, 10am-6pm.
All appointments are booked online, to help avoid unnecessary gatherings.
Hellesdon county councillor Shelagh Gurney was on hand to help out at the community centre.
